Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only of Richard McCormick. Her father taught at school, as did her mother, who was a domestic worker. Her rise to fame as a fairytale began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of six, which prompted a call from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who inquired if she'd like to work in show business. Her first major role came during 1964, where she was featured in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year, she starred for an additional firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately chosen to play the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1200 kids to be one of the oldest twin daughters in The Brady Bunch TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the TV show she almost lost their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. The timing would not have had worked out for us, she informed me.
